six flag owners should be ashamed of themselves. this poor girl is mutilated and the park stays open. I guess they could not afford to show some respect. our best to the victem and her family, we will pray for you!

I agree, they should have shut down out of respect, but that’s a theme park for you. I had a relative killed as a worker at a theme park and they didn’t even shut it down for him. Thoughts and prayers go out to the girl’s family. There are others out here who share in your pain.

I don’t think they should shut down. What would that accomplish unless it was a safety issue? It is however a very sad day. The important thing now is that the girl gets top notch medical care and attention which I do believe is Six Flags responsibility.

I agree. Shutting down the entire park wouldn’t help. I really don’t see Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom staying open as disrespectful. It’s not like they continued running the Hellevator/Tower of Power.

Like Tanning Lotion said, the most important thing was getting the girl some much needed medical attention.

Why ruin the day for everybody else who paid good money and had invested their time to visit the park. If that is the rational, maybe when there is an airplane crash, they should suspend flights at the airport. It does not show lack of respect, I think the show goes on.

I took the girl’s feet and made a mean beef stew out of it. Would you like to try some?

They should shut down the park because the girl lost her feet. & ya they did shut down the superman ride but it could happen again on another ride because they were careless!someone could be killed because of them. They should shut down the park for respect, too. THE GIRL LOST HER FEET! Honey, I’m praying for you!

okay, so shutting down the park isnt going to solve anything, yeah it was horrible about her feet, but come on, i dont understand how that is distrespectful in any way..but i do agree they should have closed the park for the rest of the day. because im sure that shook up some poeple, i mean if i was there and saw that..i would never want to go on a ride ever again, dont you agree?

Six Flags is going down hill. Some man got decapatatted there. I’m tired of their crap. They just need to be torn down and rebuilt by another, safer, more affordable, company!

These rides are completly safe. The man that got decapitated trespassed over 2 SIX FOOT FENSES WITH SIGNS THAT SAY NOT TO and this girl probally did something stupid too. My point: ALMOST NO ONES EVER GOTTEN HURT ON A RIDE UNLESS THEY MESSED AROUND WITH SOMETHING.

I once read a book about coasters, it was divided into categories such as: Types of Thrillers, a breif history, record breakers, ect., one of the categories was called: “Why you don`t die”, in it there was some info. on why coasters are safe and one paragragh labled: The Biggest danger of all. it said it was the riders an i bealeive them.

sorry, i hit the “Submit comment” button on accident, heres the rest:
    2-Top Thrill Dragster

    1-Kingda Ka

as you can see, Sholastic should`ve refered to golden ticket, or any other coaster poll for that matter.

Ya I have that exact same book! I also think the top ten is a little messed up. On alot of them it’s about hight and speed not the actuall ride itself.(which it should be)

i saw a lot of youtube videos whith a similar Top Ten, so i think that either the books got around, or that`s where they got the idea. i suspect a bit of both.
