I'm heading out to BGW in 2012 (I was going out there in 2011, but once we heard of the new coaster we postponed the trip) and I am going to do this tour. I aspire to be a designer for B&M someday. And this is a great opportunity to learn how their coasters operate. I so wonder if the new coaster will be included in the tour since it took Big Bad Wolf's place.

Oh. Those tours. For $300 you get front of the line access, special parking, special seating at shows, free meals, an escort, etc. But no behind-the-scenes roller coaster access like Busch's tours. Here's more info

Hey Coaster Critic, there are definitely tours offered at six flags.....my reference is to great adventure, I have seen people around wearing VIP tags. I haven't been on it myself, or really looked into it, so I have no idea what the tour entails.

Thanks for the positive feedback. As you can see the posts were huge and took a lot of time, but I'm glad that you guys enjoyed them. I'm not sure about Six Flags QB3. If I hear anything I'll let you know.

Apollo's Chariot is a GREAT coaster, though I gotta say I enjoy Nitro better. Alpengeist is amazing as well, and I can still hear the sound of the shoulder harnesses being pulled down on Big Bad Wolf, it will be missed.

Thanks for remembering my question, CC. So seatbelts aren't really a back up? That's interesting. I always thought that a back up was a requirement for safety reasons. Thanks for posting.

This has been a great series to read. My husband and I took the tour back in mid-September, the weekend HoS opened, so no BBW for us, however, we did get the explanation. I really enjoyed the tour. Your posts have reminded me of lots that I didn't initially remember. We got to watch a car from Griffon loaded onto the track, which was really cool. We had a larger group, so the park had opened by the time we finished with Griffon. I will admit that by the time we rode to the top of the lift on Griffon, I chickened out. Thankfully, my husband got some really good shots. I think it's great that Busch Gardens is doing this. They have people who know about what they are speaking, and the disk of photos taken during the tour was awesome! My husband said that every time he turned to take a picture, the guy was taking that very shot. I hope they continue to offer the tour for others to have this fantastic opportunity.
