The Strangest Wooden Coaster I’ve Ever Seen

April 1, 2011

new-wooden-coasterI recently received a photo from a coaster manufacturing company (on the right), but I’m baffled by its weird design.

All of the ingredients of a typical wooden coaster seem to be missing. There’s no lift hill, support structure, or even a station. It appears to be to smooth, but I’m not even sure how a train would stay on this thing without any kind of track. This must be quite a revolutionary design.

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this, but I’ve found myself scratching my head. It’s definitely the strangest looking wooden coaster I’ve ever seen.

What’s Your Take?
Can you make sense of this wooden coaster? Leave a comment below.

I actually did receive this photo with a spam email touting this company's wooden coasters. It cracked me up.

I think they got the wrong guy. Maybe I should be the ROLLER Coaster Critic. I wonder if that domain is free…..
