Takabisha at Fuji-Q Highland – Test Video

July 2, 2011

Japan - Fuji-Q HighlandsTakabisha is a new Euro-Fighter opening at Fuji-Q Highland in Yamanashi, Japan. This is the largest Gerstlauer coaster ever. It features a 121 degree drop that is so steep that it counts as another inversion! The ride includes a launch, a vertical lift, 7 inversions, plus more! This looks like it may be the best Euro-Fighter yet.

I'm confused, does it launch first, and then later go into the lift?

Yes (it also has a Heartline Roll before that.)

I'm curious, has the cost of this coaster been made public?

Is this now the steepest roller coaster in the world? Because Mumbo Jumbo was 112 degrees i think.

That thing looks crazy. Too bad we only got one angle to veiw from. Hopefuly the park will release an on-ride proffesional POV.

PS-Those whistles(or whatever they realy were) in the background sounded alot like screams to me. I had to keep reminding myself that it was a test run, not an actual ride.

Thanks, Trent. This thing looks awsome. I hope we'll see one of these things come to North America some time soon.

        PS-Happy Fourth of July!

Isn't Six Flags New England adding something new for its 2012 season? It has confirmed not to be a Zac-Spin. Could something like this be it?

@Prof. BAM: No a zacspin is like the green lantern coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain its a 4D coaster with a small layout but allows the seats to turn and flip independantly. This is a eurofighter.

This roller coaster blew me away when I saw it it looks fantastic!!! Gerstlauer really outdid themselves and went outside their usual compact comfort zone with this bad boy right here! Looks incredible!!!

okay, this is such drivel…. Fuji Q Highlands was already a park with excessive waiting lines due to only low capacity rides except for fujiyama (and slow operations)… AND NOW THEY'VE BUILT AN EUROFIGHTER?

Tomorrow is announced to be the opening of "Green Lantern Coaster" in "Warner Bros. Movie World", Astralia. It will have the steepest drop in the world, with a 122.4° drop.
