See a Verbolten ‘Test Drive’ Video

May 8, 2012

One of my favorite theme park fan site’s BGWFans posted a great video of numerous Verbolten test runs. In it, we get to see the ride’s different trains take that dive to the Rhine River that Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s coasters seem to love to do.

Check out this test video of Verbolten at Busch Gardens Williamsburg:

Verbolten’s trains look great! And, it’s nice to see the ride in action even though we can’t see the indoor section which will likely be the best part of ride. Screamscape recently reported that a scheduled employee preview for the ride has been canceled. Lance also stated that employees are telling guests that Verbolten is scheduled to open on May 18th. Let’s hope that it isn’t delayed.

I’m looking forward to reading and sharing early reviews as I have with other rides as they open, BUT I’m hoping that I’ll able to do so without spoilers about the event building. I’m hoping to ride Verbolten myself in July. So, I’ll have my own review on the site in time.

What do you think of this test video? Leave a comment below.

I will be riding this with my daughter the second week in June, assuming there are no unexpected delays. I cannot wait to see her reaction to the drop, as she has no idea that it happens at all!

I guess you'll have to go to that part of park via the crossing at Loch Ness or the other bridge. She might get a glimpse of the drop from that bridge that connects Italy to Germany. Let us know how you and her like it. It'll be a few years before my oldest tackles something this big. Plus I wonder how intense the indoor section will be. For her of course. Not for me :)

I have a feeling she'll love it, she rode the Tower of Terror at Disney this year, and did Top Thrill last year, so it will need to be really intense, and very visually intimidating to freak her out.

It's really exciting to see that they are taking advantage of that excellent terrain.

      Agreed!

That was one of the things I loved about Big Bad Wolf.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a beautiful park with many of the rides taking advantage of the terrain. It's much nicer than the "parking lot" coasters some other parks have…

Too true. Scream! at Six Flags Magic Mountain is a perfect example of the "parking lot" coaster. It is good to see that some parks are still sticking with the terrain coaster. Not only is it more visually stimulating, but it is also a much more exciting experience.
