The only part i dont like about the Screamin' Eagle is the brake run, it slows you down a bit and then sudden brake. Other than that its great, i ride it every time i'm at Six Flags

I feel this coaster is severely overlooked and under-rated. These days, the coasters that seem to get the high reviews are the ones that one has to do battle with. While these newer woodies are fun and very intense, when I exit the ride, I often feel like I just finished a kick-boxing match. The Screamin Eagle, despite its age, is still fairly smooth and is a very easy riding coaster that one can relax and enjoy the air time and invigoration. The best part is that this coaster just doesn't quit! The speed and air time doesn't stop until the final brake run. Some of the best back seat dropping/floatation air time and front seat ramping/out of your seat air time is on the last couple of hills! Ride it at night and the darkness of the woods makes it twice as fun.

Get out and ride this old bird....it's a blast!

Last year when I rode it the train smelled of burning grease, and the wheels were all but smoking! Glad to hear they fixed a few things, it was screeching like a siren in September!

I was really surprised how much that I liked this ride. I'm not sure if it's the maintenance that probably varies from park to park or there's something to your statement. It could be that the newer rides tend to be more intense and therefore are more likely to put more strain on their tracks over time. Either way, this is definitely an oldie, but goodie.

I really like this ride. It is great at night and my favorite part is when the ride jumps over the lift and down the next drop. This is really great and it always seems that these old rides hold up better than new wooden coasters
